Where Do They Get It

They do everything,
With pizzazz and flair.
From how they dress,
To the way they fix their hair.

The clothes they wear,
Must come from a certain store.
No, not that one,
It’s not hip anymore.

All the places they go,
And the things they do.
Won’t be decided by them,
Or by you.

They only emulate,
what they see.
As they spend all day,
In front of their phone, or TV.

They copy their favorite celebrity,
Because they think it is cool.
And have this flawed idea reinforced,
Each day they’re at school.

One day they’ll grow up,
And have a mind of their own.
But until then,
They’re just another MTV clone.
